A Clock of Stars: The Shadow Moth

A Clock of Stars: The Shadow Moth by Francesca Gibbons (Illustrated by Chris Riddell)

Imogen is tired of being told what to do—she doesn't want to be nice to her mum's boyfriend, and she certainly doesn't want to look after her annoying little sister, Marie. But when she follows a mysterious silver moth through a door in a tree, she and Marie are swept into a magical kingdom filled with monsters, dancing bears, and a spoiled prince. In a thrilling race against time, Imogen must learn to separate myth from truth and discover if the monsters that haunt the city are truly what they seem.

Brilliantly illustrated by Chris Riddell, this is a sharply funny and timeless fantasy about the power of questioning the stories we are told.
