The King’s Birthday Suit

The King’s Birthday Suit by Peter Bently  (illustrated by Claire Powell)

King Albert-Horatio-Otto the Third has more clothes than anyone could possibly need — so when two very persuasive tailors promise him the finest outfit ever made, he simply can’t resist. But all is not quite as it seems, and the King may be in for an embarrassing surprise. This laugh-out-loud picture book is a clever, modern retelling of The Emperor’s New Clothes, bursting with humour, colour, and mischievous charm. A brilliant story that invites children to laugh, think, and find the confidence to speak up.
