This unicorn has had quite enough of unicorn books. There are far too many of them—and she certainly has no intention of appearing in one herself. Unfortunately, she has just discovered that she is already inside one.
 
Determined to escape the rainbows, sparkles and familiar unicorn-book clichés, she tries running, jumping and even eating her way through the pages. But the world beyond her book may not provide quite the adventure she expected.
 
Laura Baker’s self-aware story plays with the idea that a character knows she is being watched by the reader. Chris Jevons fills the pages with bright colour, comic detail and plenty to spot, creating a mischievous read-aloud about expectations, contentment and one gloriously grumpy unicorn.
