The Grinny Granny Donkey Book and Toy

The Grinny Granny Donkey Book and Toy by Craig Smith, illustrated by Katz Cowley

There is another wonderfully eccentric member of the Wonky Donkey family to meet—and this time it is Granny’s turn to make everyone laugh.

Grinny Granny Donkey is a lively, unforgettable grandmother with her own peculiar habits and a tremendous amount of personality. Craig Smith’s playful rhymes build one funny description upon another, while Katz Cowley’s expressive illustrations bring every new detail to life.

Children can listen for the rhymes, predict the next ridiculous description and join in with the familiar “Hee Haw!” The repetition and increasingly silly wordplay make this an energetic story to perform together rather than simply read once and put away.

This gift-boxed edition includes a miniature paperback copy of the 32-page picture book and a soft Grinny Granny Donkey toy. The toy gives children a familiar character to hold during the story and encourages them to continue the fun through imaginative play, storytelling and reenactment.

A joyful present for young Wonky Donkey fans, grandchildren, grandparents and families who enjoy silly rhymes, animated read-alouds and stories that become funnier with every repetition.
