Jungle School

Jungle School by Elizabeth Laird (Illustrated by Nila Aye)

It’s Jani’s first day at school, and she’s a little nervous. Will the other monkeys be friendly? Because Jani uses a wheelchair, she’s worried about being different—but her cheeky personality soon helps her make friends and have a fantastic first day. Part of the Reading Ladder series, this book features three fun-filled monkey stories perfect for new readers.

Developed with literacy consultants, it uses simple sentences and bright illustrations to help children take their first steps toward a lifelong love of reading.
