Grandad’s Star

Grandad’s Star by Kate Hodges (Illustrated by Madeleine Rogers)

A tender, beautifully told picture book about love, memory, and the bonds that endure even as things change. When a little girl’s beloved grandad — once full of star stories and constellations — begins to forget, she learns that love can still shine across galaxies, even when words fade. Gentle, poetic, and deeply reassuring, this story offers a compassionate way to talk about dementia and change with young children. A comforting read for families navigating big emotions with warmth and hope.
